How to free up time for reliability: increase HoTT

Hands on tool time  (HoTT) is an acronym in the industry which tells the company how much time the workforce and contractors spend on tools (preventive and repair). Reliability of assets is crucial. And so
is an efficient execution of works both preventive and repair. Often this is not done efficient.

The start for improvement is insight in your hands on tool time and an industry benchmark. The workforce needs to have visibility in the root causes for delay time, start to create a roadmap and create commitment for improvements both on short and long term.
