Project Engineer Mechanical Engineering
Location: Within a 100 km radius around Maastricht, Netherlands
Description:
The PE-W is responsible for the engineering (mechanical and civil) and the delivery of corresponding products from the conceptual phase up to and including the construction phase, including the transfer to the production & technical service in such a way that the functional specifications are realised and the maintenance facilities are in place.
The following aspects are dealt with:
- Intake of technological scope
- Preparation of technical requests to W-scope with functional specifications
- Initiating and controlling of the engineering with the engineering contractor
- Assessment of the mechanical or civil engineering
- Preparation of progress reports within the projects progress registration system
- Delivering input for the setting up of budgets and estimates
- Transfer of project documents to the plant
Profile:
- Technical college mechanical engineering degree
- At least 5 years of experience as lead engineer mechanical in the petrochemical industry
- Aware of valid laws and regulations (European; rules of steam vessel inspectorate)
- Familiar with materials, design codes and failure mechanisms in petrochemical plants
- HazOp-studies and fault analyses
